Hey, everyone! I have not been here in a while…

In the past 5 months, I have come to learn that the quote “𝑡𝑜 𝑤𝑎𝑙𝑘 𝑎 𝑚𝑖𝑙𝑒 𝑖𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑖𝑟 𝑠ℎ𝑜𝑒𝑠” holds a lot of potency when reflecting upon college students… 𝐋𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫 and [only beginning] 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫 makes me realize to 𝑡𝑖𝑝 𝑚𝑦 ℎ𝑎𝑡 to any person or parent who is tackling college classes, especially full-time or online! Summer is hard, because the quarter is only 7 weeks (versus 10 weeks), and a lot of content is packed together… All in all, 𝒄𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒈𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒚!! I have 24 more tests and assignments due in the next 8 days!! (…I work weekends, through and through). 𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮… give your college student some kudos!! There is A LOT to read, understand, and accomplish! But, I am learning plenty… Maybe I am tired, but I’ll still shout my spiel (for those who have not heard, or those who wonder why I keep talking…)

For 6+ years, I have dreamt of this business plan… and for 3+ years, my cute little Family-of-Five has been fundraising (via Flea Markets and Craft Fairs) for its Seed Money. We plan to build and begin a Retreat Center VENUE, focused toward Spiritual Wellness and Yoga, right here in the Pacific Northwest / NE corner of Washington State! It will be called “𝑇𝑒𝑟𝑟𝑎 𝑀𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑟 𝑉𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑎𝑔𝑒” (i.e. “𝑀𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟 𝐸𝑎𝑟𝑡ℎ” 𝑉𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑎𝑔𝑒) and I am a typically tenacious person. Wish us luck, as we journey towards this Family Business endeavor!! Currently, I am enrolled in Community College (after a 𝟏𝟓-𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 hiatus), to understand the knack of self-employment and to [hopefully] run a successful business!
